BOOKING
Welcome to our work together. These are a few facts to ensure your booking experience is smooth.
- Our booking system can be reached via this link: https://behaviouralparenting.janeapp.com/
- Please book as many as sessions as you believe you will need and on a frequency you determine, in order to meet your treatment goals. Booking several months in advance is encouraged but please only take what you expect to use.
- The booking system is live and shared with other clients and as we cannot reserve spaces its best to book your session/s promptly.
- If you cannot find the day/time you want, please use the waitlist function which provides a notification of openings.
BILLING
Dr. Martinez is a registered psychologist and if you have extended health benefits sessions should qualify for some reimbursement depending on the parameters of your insurance company. For student trainess insurance is unlikely to reimburse so the fees are set at a lower rate. Please note:
- An invoice is emailed at each session, but payment is expected regardless of whether you receive an invoice.
- Payment is kindly appreciated at the time of the session. Prompt payment helps us pay our bills!
- Once payment has been received, we will email you a receipt for your records which can be used to subit a claim to insurance.
SESSIONS
Sessions run on a 50” therapy hour. This is unique to our profession. We will make efforts to wind down the session at about 45” so that we can end on time. If we are working with your child/teen, please make them aware of this. We will always ensure we have a planned agenda but we welcome your input although you do not need to come to session with an organized list of things to address unless you want to.
However, please do come to session ready to work. Sessions flow best when you:
- Are rested and well nourished (food, drink, etc)
- Have no distractions (pls turn off notifications, find a quiet space, etc)
- Are not engaged in other tasks (driving, working, etc.)
- Have the mental energy to concentrate and collaborate on your own care
We cannot address clinical crises via email or phone. For urgent matters please call 911 or go to your nearest ER. If available you can also contact your GP, psychiatrist, or psychologist. Or Call 811.
