Omer Mustufa completed his B.Sc. in Psychology and Biology at the University of Toronto in 2019. He is
currently in his third year in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Adler University. Mr. Mustufa has received solid foundational experience in psychological assessment, especially with young adults. He completed a 1-year assessment-based practicum at Adler Community Health Services (ACHS), working predominantly with young adults struggling with academic and mood-related difficulties. Through his previous practicum, Omer has had the opportunity to work with diverse client populations, focusing on anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and academic difficulties. Omer believes in taking a flexible and collaborative approach with his clients and using evidence-based treatments. He is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. He is also determined in taking a culture-informed approach when working with clients and strives to educate himself on and integrate any cultural components that are important to his clients. Mr. Mustufa's current treatment approach involves using principles of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with his clients. In addition to his professional interests, Omer enjoys watching and playing sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
